Its a shame that call "Couchsurfing" as 100% free…your host expects in exchange a gift or a round of beers you pay him/her so its not a free overnight thing…we hosts get tons of newbie CS member requests nowadays because of people like you thinking its a free thing…not true!

Drew come to the Netherlands, i provide you a sleeping place in my house, food and drinks and i will drive you around to any place in The Netherlands, that save you money.

    Extreme version of budget:
    1. Dont use Eurail (Eurail sponsored video?), use Flixbus night bus only. Save accomodation. Eurail is only good if you rush several cities in a few days.
    2. Use hitchhiking (I wonder why it's not mentioned)
    3. Buy groceries from supermarket. Cheese and bread.
    4. Walk instead of using public transport/metro
    5. Visit museums only at free entry day
I've spent only 500Euro for 23 days in Europe (food, accommodation, transport) =21 Euros per day for France, Switzerland, Germany, Austria and Netherlands

then welcome to finland where only 1 of these tips actually work or maybe few
its not cheap in finland its expensive for tourist to travel as metro doesnt get you everywhere
nor does any public transport well the main sights can be seen but if you want to see how the life for common people are you must leave city centre for the populated are where the houses are and then spend hours upon hours unless you know which bus takes you where
