This guy must have only visited New Mexico and Colorado. Come to the south there many beautiful Appalachian towns in Georgia, Tennessee and the Carolinas
OMG What happend to Aspen Colorado?? Why is that nice town not on this list?? I`ve been several times there, and some others here you did show,!! I Liked Taos New Mexico btw a lot too! The good thing is i saw some Aspen trees on your video, into very nice colours they change, and the sound of them when the wind blows is stunning!! Too bad they wont grow in The Netherlands, took some shoots with me, but did not want to stay here…:((
I think that any mountain town that depends on tourism doesn't really give you the true mountain town experience. That being said,. Bonner's Ferry, ID has the real mountain town vibe.
Attention all whiners…. Tourists and rich people flock to the best places. Good luck finding some amazing place that isn't full of rich people and tourists. It doesn't exist except in the minds of those who do mental gymnastics, convincing themselves that where they live is so awesome because everyone there is poor and no one wants to visit.
Snowmass? That's a bunch of condos, not a town. Frisco? That's a beefed up rest area off of I-70. Did you forget that California, Oregon, and Washington have mountains? This is the dumbest list ever. Like 6 of these towns are in the top 20.
if you're talking about strictly scenery, you got it pretty good, about a thousand Alternatives equally good. if you're talking about good place to live, that's a whole different animal! I grew up in Summit County, and tried to live in two other locations on your film, the truth is a lot uglier than the scenery. ridiculous( San Francisco level) rent, shit selection of jobs, weather that looks like a die-hard commercial half of the year. 20 or 30 below zero with blowing snow is a lot more fun on television, then from being out there in it trying to start your car to get to work..!!
They forgot about Glenwood springs Colorado, beautiful scenery, great people.
I didn't see Whitefish, MT; Redlodge, MT; Choteau, MT; Kalispell, MT; or Seward, AK
Who paid the Android to narrate this? These destinations are for tourists only, trust me
Sorry, tourist traps, all of them nice to visit, don't live there
Why the robot voice only here long enough to write this.
3:10 “enthusi-ASSts”
“… if hiking isn’t your JAM.”
It’s amazing how there are zero California towns in this video. Unimpressive to say the least. I suppose they ran out of money at the Sierra.
Where's Deadwood, South Dakota?
Telluride should be number 1

4:39 Sitka is at sea level – hardly a mountain town
The title should reference "tourist towns". I wouldn't want to live in any of those towns.
They missed a lot in Colorado in my opinion
I'm surprised by how many of these places I've already visited. Beautiful video! …Roy
